I stepped on stage at age six and never looked back…

The connection with audience was so electric, so thrilling, so illuminating, that I was hooked for life. The relationship between story, story teller, and listener still fascinates and enthralls me. I began performing professionally as a teenager in Austin, Texas, while also singing in choirs and playing three varsity sports. All of which reinforced the idea of communal collaboration and teamwork. I went to Duke University with the intention of becoming a doctor, but left four years later with a dual degree in History and Theatre, two terms at New College, Oxford under my belt, and no med school plans whatsoever.

Theatre grew from something I loved to do into something I lived to do. I went on to get my M.F.A. in Theatre from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts,) then began working around the country in regional theatre. I have worked in theatres from Boston to Los Angeles to Oregon to Texas. I am a founding member of the Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Company, and a core member of Patrick Stewart’s Paramount Shakespeare Company. I also worked in feature film and television casting at Warner Brothers and Fox Studios for several years, serving as an associate on projects such as Under Siege 2, Point Break, and, Homicide: Life on the Streets.

For past 20 years been based in San Francisco Bay Area where in addition to raising two sons, I have performed extensively at theaters such as A.C.T., Aurora, Berkeley Rep, The Magic, and San Jose Rep and am also a company member with PlayGround, and an Associate Artist with AlterTheater Ensemble. I have had the opportunity to do a number of independent films and a whole slew of commercials, voiceovers, and video games.  I also teach in hte Schools of Entertainment at Academy of Art University and work as a private voice and acting coach

When I am not acting, directing, or teaching I am usually hiking in the mountains and woods, running over hills, lifting heavy objects, and laughing. Always laughing.
